Looking for help

My wife and I are going to be in DC on President's day and the day after. I've been before but she has not. We're going to visit the Capital and the Monuments and would also like to visit Arlington Cemetery. Any suggestions for a nice Hotel under $ 300 a night that will be close to the Capital and monuments? Thanks for all of your assistance!!

Why don't you post again with DC in the topic? You'll get better responses that way.

We love the Madison. It's fairly small, but very well located (15th and M) and easy to walk to where you want to go. Wear good shoes!!

Actually, you shouldn't have any trouble finding a room for under $300 for Presidents day because Congress and the Senate are not in session all week Feb 19-23.

The JW Marriott on Pennsylvania has rooms starting at $169. It's in one of the best locations for sighting seeing.

JW location is tough to beat. It's a convention hotel. There's also the Marriott Courtyard in Chinatown/Penn Quarter that is very nice and right across the street from the Metro. It's in a wonderful dining area and walking distance to the Mall.

You have now seen Fodor's Law #6 in action - Suggesting that the OP use a more specific title to get better responses is always followed by a multitude of responses. I have given up on suggesting. ((*))
