Looking for good tapas in Austin
Can anyone recommend a good tapas bar in Austin?
I did see "Wink" menu and it looks promising, but looking for other options. Thanks all! |
We like Saba Blue Water Cafe and Malaga (basically next door). Both are on Fourth Street in the Warehouse District.

Louie's 106, on 6th St at Congress.

AustinTraveler- I have to say the Saba Blue Water looks exactly like what I was searching for!!!
Can you tell me, do you think I'll need a reservation? It will be only me, and I prefer to eat earlier- like 6-7pm, but I could go earlier if I've a better chance at a seat. Thanks all! |
You should be fine since you're alone. You can eat at the bar. We like to grab one of the sofas in the front when it's just the two of us. We usually go for happy hour which is between 4-7. Enjoy!!

Austin Traveler- Thanks so much! The tapas was great! The spinach and mango salad with vanilla bean vinaigrette was amazing! All of it was delicious, including the mojito. I must have arrived during the weekend happy hour (thought it was after 7pm) because everything on the menu was 5 bucks instead of the 6/7/8 listed. And the mojito was listed on menu as 7 bucks, but they only charged me 3 bucks! Awesome!
I then went on to have some great pistaccio gelato over on 2nd Street (Italian Renassaince?) and the icing on the cake- I found out I was only a couple blocks from the Congress Ave bridge. So I walked the 3 blocks and was in plenty of time to see the bats come out for dinner. Awesome sight! The weather was beautiful, too. Nice breeze, heat and humidity down. Lovely weekend! Thanks! |
That's great sarge! I'm so glad everything worked out so well for you.
