Looking for flea market in central jersey
One of my co-workers mentioned that there's a very large flea market in central jersey, but couldn't remember the name of the town it's in. Possibly Lambertville or Lawrenceville. Can any Fodorites from the area help???
Perhaps you are thinking of Englishtown?
I don't know - that's why I'm asking. All I know is a large flea market in central jersey exists, but I don't know any other details and I haven't been able to find it online. Hopefully someone here knows...

Englishtown is the biggie.
Englishtown is the biggest, but I like the one near New Hope, PA is better. Rice's just north of Peddlar's Village. The big day is Tuesday mornings.
PS. What day is the Englishtown flea market?
Where exactly is the Englishtown flea market? And is it Sat. and Sun.?
OK guys, now that you have a name "englishtown", go to yahoo or whatever search tool you use and type in Englishtown flea market...
Go try: why don't you go try posting smart ass remarks someplace else.

M

The one in Lambertville is better!! It is on the Jersey side of the Delaware river near New Hope PA! Held on Sundays..I believe!

JOHN

Thanks John! I'm going to check that one out.
Englishtown is in western Monmouth county (west of Freehold). The flea market is on Rt.#527 It is held all year round on Saturdays and Sundays.
I agree with gb on Rice's. It's definetely worth checking out. If you can't make it on a Tues morning, they are also open on Sat. mornings, just not as many vendors.
The Golden Nugget is the Lambertville Flea Market on Rt. 29 just south of town. Its big day is Wednesday. Saturday and Sunday it is open as well. We live in town, and really enjoy it. Mostly old stuff, whereas Rice's is mostly new stuff. Enjoy!

I'll stand up for Englishtown too - always been able to find a lot of interesting items there. Depending on the direction you're coming from it's usually best to take US Route 9 to County Route 527.
