Looking for Feedback on Spirit Airlines
 

I am looking for tickets to Florida for a long weekend next month, and the cheapest I am coming up with are on Spirit. I've heard many bad things about them in the past, but have no first hand experience on them. Anyone fly them recently, and can you give me any feedback--I'd really appreciate it. Thanks all.

I flew them from LA to Myrtle Beach and they were fine. The return layover in Detroit was way too long, but I couldn't beat the price. I would fly them again, they were fine.

flew them to Orlando - left late but that was about it; plane was fairly clean. we had one small glitch - one of our sons was unable to make the trip at the last minute so they did agree to give us exactly one year to use his ticket with a fee attached - we wanted ot use it 366 days later and were denied. customer service people were quite rude and we got no response from anyone higher up. I think ATA, SW or AirTrans would be good options.

Great - cheap, clean, safe. I fly them all the time.

As you can already see, your responses will be across the board. Some people will love Spirit, some will hate Spirit, and some indifferent.

They are a low cost carrier that has been around for almost 20 years.

Flown Spirit once didn't have any problems. Have friends who have flown Spririt no problems either. I think it's definitely a good airline for the prices.
