Looking for Chicago restaurant near Civic Opera House

We're going to a matinée performance at the Civic Opera House in Chicago, and I'm looking for a restaurant to eat lunch before we go. However, I'm finding most of the restaurants in that area are closed on Sunday. We usually eat in the River North area, so I'm not real familiar with restaurants in that area. I had thought of Berghoff, Rosebud, and Trattoria 10. They're all closed on Sunday, though. Any suggestions?

How about the Atwood Cafe at the Burnham Hotel, about 5-6 blocks east at State/Washington (same general vicinity as Trattoria #10, if you were looking at that)? I've never been there for brunch on Sunday, but I've enjoyed lunch there before and it gets pretty high ratings in Metromix.

How about Greek? Greek town is about 6 blocks west of the Opera House and they are definitely open on Sundays. Greek Islands, Santorini and Parthenon are all good.

Rivers is sometimes open on Sundays; it's very close to the Opera House, but call to confirm their hours. The restaurant in the W hotel on Adams wouldn't be too far away. Also check out 312 Chicago or Elephant and Castle Pub; there's also a Boston Blackie's in that area.

Thanks to everyone for the great restaurant ideas! I'm following them up right now. I was beginning to think nothing in the area would be open on Sunday :-) I had no idea that Greek Town was so close. We have stayed in Chicago many times, but either in the River North or Lincoln Park areas. Pat, I checked Rivers, and it is open, but only at 4:30 PM. We're going to a matinée at 2:00 PM and wanted to eat around 11:00 AM, when we arrive. After the ballet, we're heading to Naperville to have dinner with our kids and the grandbaby :-)

Metromix has a very nice search feature that will pull up retaurants within a specified distance of the opera house. I would not consider any of the restaurants you named especially close to the opera house. There are several sandwich-type places in the area, as well as One North, Rivers and Emil's in the fancier category. I'm not sure about the Sunday question, but these three are favorites with Lyric patrons.
