Looking for Beth who stayed at La Playa recently

Hi Beth, I am looking for info on La Playa. How many stars would you give it? The rooms that are across the street are they far away? Did it look like there was a nice view from across the street? Do they have coin operated washers and dryers? Was it very clean? Any info appreciated

Sally, I don't think that was the Beth that originally went to La Playa.

The La Playa is an older hotel that has recently been remodeled. They really made it super nice. I would say the rooms are better than the Hyatt and Marriott. The furnishings are real nice, and the place is very clean. The pools are brand new, but not huge like the Hyatt. We had a beachfront room and our room was right next to the sand with a huge balcony. I think the rooms across the street have a view of the bay. I really didn't pay much attention to them since we were beachfront. I think it is a great value. I don't know about washers and dryers. I would rate the place a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10. That would be the beachfront rooms. I would rather stay there than the Ritz because it isn't stuffy,it's smaller, it's cheaper, and it's furnishing are nicer than most chain hotels.

Thanks so much for the info. I'm glad you had a good time. Did you swim in the ocean? How is the sand? Are there a lot of shells and do you need water shoes? Did you see any wildlife? Thanks so much.
