What a wonderful evening! We spent an hour at The Spotted Cat and then went over to The Three Muses for dinner and music...and stayed 3 1/2 hours!! Awesome music! Walked over to the waterfront to watch the fireworks at midnight with thousands of others and it was a wonderful way to celebrate the New Year.
Regarding Emerils: service was excellent and overall the consensus was good especially the steak, lamb, drum (fish). The dessert was not anything special ( the banana cream pie was not offered). We ate at Emerils Delmonicos.
Overall my music experience was exactly what I wanted. Great musicians, diverse music, loved Frenchmen street. My advice is to explore New Orleans outside of the French Quarter. Now onto Costa Rica in a month!! Happy New Year!

Your favorite place for Blues? I'm taking my husband in 2 weeks for a long weekend (pre Super Bowl weekend) for his 60th. He LOVES music, but hates Jazz (who can account for taste!!!). So Blues or Rock n Roll would be great. We'll be staying in the French Quarter, no transportation; never been to New Orleans!
