Looking for (ai?) toddler-friendly, pregnant mom-friendly vacation spot.
We are looking for a spot to travel to in July with our 16-month-old daughter. I will be 5 and a half months pregnant.
We need something easy, where the three of us can be occupied for a week. Toddler-friendly restaurants is a must. Too hot or rainy day activities also a must.
Since I will be pregnant, my husband does not want us travelling outside the U.S.
We have considered Club Med Sandpiper, in Florida, and also renting a cottage in Gloucester or Cape Cod, MA. (We are coming from Quebec, Canada.) I have been to Virginia Beach and didn't really like it. I hear Myrtle Beach is very similar.
I'm up-to-date on many of the little towns along the east coast where we could go to rent a cottage. Are there any other all-inclusives besides Sandpiper that I should be considering?
Thanks!

You might consider St. Augustine, FL. It is a wonderful place with so much to do, both indoors and outdoors. There are many great restaurants and the beaches are nice too. It is very easy to get around. You can do a lot without a lot of traveling, etc. I really enjoyed it. It's something worth checking into. You can view my trip report and many others have written about the area too.

It's really, really hot and muggy in Florida in July. I live here and it was pretty uncomforatble during the summer months when I was pregnant. If you do come down here, you may like my town, Hollywood Beach (aka Quebec South). The Marriott is very nice and it's right on the broadwalk where you can walk to restaurants and see bands perform in the bandshell.
If it were me, I would vacation in a cooler spot, like Bar Harbor, ME or somewhere in Vermont.
