Looking for a special place to celebrate 60th birthday in Burlington, VT area

We're looking for a nice place to celebrate my mom's 60th birthday (in May). There will be 6 adults and 2 children ages 3 and 5. We'd love something on the lake, if possible.
Any suggestions would be welcome!
Thanks!
Cindy

Try the Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe. It's about 45 minutes away from Burlington. It's gorgeous.

PS....just re read and realized you wanted to be on the lake...there is the Basin Harbor Club down in Vergennes. There are also dinner cruises on the lake out of Burlington.

The Inn at Shelburne Farm might fit the bill, although I have to say that I have not personally eaten there. I had to help plan a 50th b-day dinner a few years ago - we had selected Shelburne Farm but then discovered they are not air conditioned. Not a problem for you in May, but we were planning for a hot July. We ended up at the Inn at Essex, which was excellent, but doesn't meet your being on the lake criteria.

Cindy,
I assumed you meant a restaurant - I was suggesting the restaurants at those inns. Sorry I wasn't more clear about that.
