Looking for a photographer in Kauai

We are heading to Kauai this fall and thought it might be a good place for a family photo. Can anyone recommend a good photographer?

Also, I'm wondering if this is even a good idea. I know the setting will be stunning, but I'm worried that too much time might be taken out of our day and my hair will probably be a humidity disaster.

Any suggestions?

I forgot to mention that we will be staying on the south shore.

You could always fly out makai1 - check out her pics on her trip report.

Cant really help you out, but I think its a nice idea, so long as you keep it fun and casual! No forced smiles!

Ooops, meant to say...only do it if everyone is into it. Hated those forced holiday pictures growing up!

We have many skilled photographers on Kaua`i -- my personal fav for portraits and family photos is Sara Wall. She uses digital cameras, and has a knack for catching un-staged, wonderful images. Google for her website...

sistalou... I clicked on this thread to offer my photographic services for the occasion when I saw your post!! :D you are too fun!! ((R))

wtm, it's a perfect idea... auntie m may have some suggestions... she just posted a "rainy" thread for Kauai. No worries about the hair... it will be a great memory. Should only take an hour to set up and shoot. You won't be sorry.

Where are you staying?

Now if you want to send for me... Chicago to Lihue w/ my sturdy lil Rebel... let's talk!! ;;)

Thanks AuntieMaria, I'll look for Sara Wall's website.
