Looking for a family resort in the Caribbean
We are thinking of going to a family resort in the Caribbean in a few years. At that time, our children will be 5 1/2 and 3 years old. Has anyone ever been to a great one?
TIA!

Try posting in the Caribbean forum. We are going to Beaches Negril (Jamaica)in May. It is an all inclusive family resort. Our kids are older but they do have a kids program of activities. It has gotten great reviews on other message boards (www.tropictravel.com or www.wheretostay.com).
Another place in Negril to consider is Moon Dance Villas. You get your own private villa with cook, bartender & housekeeper for about the same price as a resort. There aren't the organized kid activities but my sis-in-law took her 2 young ones & loved it. The staff watched her kids while she & hubby walked on the beach. Plus they would fix whatever you wanted to eat or drink. the kids loved the ice cream drinks.

We just returned from the Wyndham El Conquistador in Puerto Rico. It is not an all-inclusive, but the resort has enough amenities that you will not need to leave -- beach, pool, golf, spa, numerous restaurants. There are lots of families with kids there. There is a kid's club for ages 4 and up (I think). Check out the wyndham website for more info. Only downside is that it pricey, especially food.

A friend has been several times to the Buccaneer Resort in St. Croix with his two and has really had great time on each trip. It's very family friendly with a nice golf course for the adults.
It's on our agenda for the next several months.
