Looking for 80's Music Dance Club
 

We leave on Sunday for our 3 Day trip to NYC. Looking forward to visiting your city. Anyone know of a dance club that plays"retro" music from the 70's & 80's. I'm dating myself, I know! Thanks for all the great advice. Have a great day!

I'm not sure how old you are, but Naked Lunch is a really fun late night (after 2AM) bar for dancing. It's a younger scene, so be prepared to be surrounded by people in their early 20s.

Culture Club is probably your best option. It's a massive club and very popular with bachelorette parties and birthdays.

Culture Club is the obvious choice. The Canal Room also does an 80's party that is very popular right now.

On any given night, if Canal Room is doing 80's, I'd pick it 1st, Culture Club 2nd.

Thanks for all the suggestions! FYI-We are 39 and 36, and I'm not sure that I can last past 2am anymore! I'm the one who is ever so slightly close to 40!

Is culture club only a dance club that is open at night or can you eat lunch there also?

Culture Club doesn't open until 9 or 10pm. Another option would be the Pyramid Club on Friday nights: http://www.thepyramidclub.com/index3.htm but I'd probably head to Culture Club first since it's the be-all-end-all of 80s dance clubs. Just beware of the bachelorette parties! - sabsong
