Longboat Key Club Sarasota

Hi,
Any comments on the Long Boat Key Club
near Sarasota? Some reviews have described
the place as worn, and not worth the high
rates. I haven't been to the resort in
over 10 years, but thought it was one of
the nicest places in Florida at the time.
Seemed perfect, golf at the back of the
resort, and a beautiful beach to the front.

What do you all think?

Thanks,

All rooms have been extensively rennovated in the past year, new appliances, soft goods etc. Grounds are still spectacular and the beach is white as ever. Highly recommend it.

Thanks for your reply Katura...
I was wondering, do you know if
all the renovating is complete?
And is this a place for kids?
I have a 16 and an 11 year old.
They love golf and the beach.
Seems like a good place to stay for
a week...
Thanks again!

Yes the place has been completely renovated and is finished/completed.

There are some of the nicest golf courses right there and you would be hard pressed to find a nicer beach - the sand is like talcum powder. We've loved it for the past 10 years.

Thanks LN,
One last question...is the sand good
for building sand castles? My sons
love to play on the beach for hours.
Thanks again!
