Long Island Sheraton....

Can anyone tell me how nice/poor this hotel is, and HOPEFULLY, recommend a good take-out restaurant nearby. (it's located in Smithtown, NY)<BR><BR>The take-out doesn't necessarily have to be casual fare (although that would be fine too), but a "nicer" restaurant that would be willing to serve their entrees "To Go" would be acceptable as well.

hi,<BR><BR>i am not sure why that sheraton says they are in Smithtown....i guess technically they are but they're much closer to the expressway (right off it, actually) than they are to the town of smithtown. <BR><BR>getting "to go" food shouldn't be a problem at all. <BR><BR>two places: Paces Steakhouse on Rt. 347. <BR>Intermezzo (italian food) on Middle Country Road. <BR><BR>

Thanks for the reply... i always like to know the "locals" places when in an area other than my own, rather than just show up at a place "hit or miss."<BR><BR>Any other suggestions or comments on this particular hotel.<BR><BR>Thanks!

As far as casual fare: There is a Bennigans directly across the street from the hotel. Also, heading East from the hotel on Motor Parkway there are a bunch of restaurants - Pomodorinos (Italian), Bertucci's (Brick oven pizza) to name a few.

Sorry! I forgot to post on the hotel. Hotel was recently renovated and is very nice. Although, I have only been there for conferences, I didn't find the staff there too friendly.
