loews ventana canyon or ritz carlton in Tucson?

My husband and I are going to Tucson for 3 nights/4 days next week. We want an upscale hotel that will allow running/hiking/biking. Both Loews and Ritz seem to fit the bill but Loews sounds closer to other actitivies. Anyone know of both and have an opinion? Is the Ritz too isolated?
Thanks!

For me, the Ritz would be way too isolated. My preference, by far, would be Loews Vntana Canyon. It is very close to Sabino Canyon and not too far from Saguaro National Park East, as well as having much more dining options close by..

Haven't been to the Ritz Carlton, but have stayed at Loew's
on 3 occasions. It's a beautiful property.

Ritz Carlton is out in Marana, a destination resort that is not in Tucson. Loew's will give you better access to more options.

Marana, where the Ritz Carlton is, is not really in Tucson.
