Lodi, NJ to NYC

I am attending an event in Lodi, NJ from 11-4 PM (Sat). After that I want to spend a couple of days in NYC. Any help on parking at a train station in the Lodi area while I stay in the city; my thought was also to drive to Metro Park, park in a garage and take the NJ transit into the city.

Any possiblity on bus service into the city from Lodi?

Thanks for any help.

Thanks.

Where in Lodi will you be.Your best bet may be to drive to the Ferry Terminal in Weehawken and take the Ferry, nice short trip, good view of the city and on the other side free busses to take you all over the city. Enjoy

I'm pretty sure you can park overnight... here is the website: http://www.nywaterway.com. I didn't find parking info but you could call to doublecheck.

You can also check njtransit.com for bus info and schedules. Calling Felician College for the best bus would probably work too.

There is regular bus service to Port Authority from Lodi or you could drive a few miles to Rutherford, park on one of the many side streets off Orient Way and take the #190 bus into NYC. IMHO the train is a bit of a hassle from around there as one has to change to the PATH in Hoboken. If parking in Rutherford just check the signs out carefully - every street has a 3 - 4 hour stretch one day each week when no parking is allowed so street cleaners can get through. You could also head about two miles west on Rte 3, get off at the exit by Clifton Commons and use the Park 'n Ride at the S

cont - at the Super Stop 'n Shop Grocery up behind the AMC movie theatre. The bus from there is a straight shot into NYC and the parking is convenient.
