Lodging with transfer to/from Fresno airport and to Yosemite
 

Hi y'all
We are flying to Fresno to visit Yosemite in July and don't want to mess around without driving. Do you know any hotels or any shuttle services that would get us to/from between the airport and Hotel then from/to Yosemite?

Renting a car is the most convenient. What time of day is the flight coming in? A taxi would be very expensive even to Oakhurst.
The only public transport would be to take a taxi to the Amtrak station and take a San Joaquin train to Merced and the YARTS bus to El Portal or to the Yosemite Valley if you are lucky enough to get a reservation.
You will be able to see much more of Yosemite on your own terms if you rent a car at FAT.

No hotel is going to drive you in/out of Yosemite.

The drive is about 2.5 <u>hours</u>. And a limo/car service would cost a fortune. Fresno simply is not a convenient base for visiting Yosemite.

Is this a one day visit or are you staying overnight in Fresno?

Just to be perfectly clear - That 2.5 hours is each way.

Rent a car.

Check out the schedule of Amtrak - maybe a taxi from Fresno airport to the train station? After that, it's train and bus connection (buy Amtrak tickets including the buses) and the shuttles in Yosemite are free.

If you take the train to Merced from Fresno, there is a good shuttle from that train station to Yosemite, and you will see some prettier scenery that way. There is a muchquicker way from Fresno if you drive though, up Highway 41.
