Lodging options for the Lake Geneva area
Hi Everyone,
I got some wonderful tips from this forum for our upcoming switzerland trip. We are going there for 10 days end of August/september. The plan is to spend a few days in the Bernese Oberland area, and then the last leg in the lake Geneva area. While staying in BO, we were thinking of doing a day trip to Lucerne (although a bit long), and while staying in Lausanne, the idea is to visit Bern on a daytrip.
Lausanne seems expensive - any suggestions on where to stay for around $100 a night. We are looking for a clean place close to the train (we will be using the swisspass), and convenient to go to Bern, as well as hiking the wine trail.
Thanks!!

My only suggestion is to do a city-wide quote and see what's available.
http://www.resideo.com/ch/lausanne -- click the "Check Availability" button, choose your dates, submit the form, then sort by price -- that'll put the cheapest places first.
Good luck!

There's also one called Lausanne Guesthouse & Backpacker or something like that. I have not stayed there just found their website when researching the area and it was reasonably priced. Hotel Elite also in Lausanne near the train station. $100 is a low budget for that area, you'll need to be a bit creative.
