Lodging near fresh water and ocean

We travel with our dogs and always stay in Cannon Beach because there's a fresh water estuary that flows into the ocean that the dogs can swim in. Looking further afield, any thoughts on a similar situation on the coast? Oceanfront and fresh water - is it possible anywhere else? Thanks!

North of Florence is Devils Elbow State park also know as Heceta Head. Beautiful little cove, trail up to the light house and there is a stream down to the ocean. I don’t know if it’s deep enough to swim in but definitely fun to play in. There is a daily use fee.

Cape Cod is surrounded by salt water- bays, ocean. Inland you can find 365 fresh water lakes or ponds.

We had a great time years ago, camping at Nehalem Bay. It can be a bit of a walk, but it's peaceful and beautiful and you're right on the beach.

I second Cannon Beach. It's a great place. Ten minutes south is Oswald West State Park. Lovely beaches.

We were at Devils Elbow yesterday. Dog had a great time playing in the stream. If you walk up the stream behind the bridge the water gets deeper and there are several swimming holes. It’s a nice spot.

you asked about lodging. Yachats is a good place to stay and the Adobe is pet friendly.
