Lodging in Yachats Oregon

Anyone have rec. on lodging in Yachats in early July? Just need one night. Nothing fancy, but would enjoy oceanview & walkable distance to town. Also any rec. on some "good eats"?

There are 3 motels in a row, ocean front, the Adobe, the Fireside and the Overleaf- all of them connected by a trail. The Overleaf is the high end- some of the units at the Adobe have a kitchen and there is a restaurant there with great views with a bar upstairs. The food at the Adobe is not fabulous but the views are and I think the food is adequate-
There are several other restaurants in town but I don't think any have the views the Adobe has.

We frequently rent a house but if we don't, we stay at the Adobe.

You can walk to town from the Adobe- check out the old church on your walk- its pretty interesting.

I agree with sunbum1944. We have stayed at the Overleaf and found it to be a really nice place but overpriced...no meal service of any kind....and we consider the restaurant at the Adobe to be the only white tablecloth place in town.

There's also the See Vue Motel, nothing fancy, rather funky and right on the ocean front.

We always loved the Rock Park Cottages, but
it is usually a two day minimum.
Also the Cabins right South of the Bridge which I can never remember the name of. :)

We stayed at the Overleaf about 8 yrs. ago and it's one of our best travel memories. Considering that it was spacious and one of our doors opened right onto the beach/ocean, we thought it was very reasonably priced. I'm surprised to hear the other comments, maybe it's gone up considerably since we were there.

bbqboy- are you thinking of the Shamrock ? If so, they were torn down several years ago-
too bad- it was a nice place

We stay at the Fireside Motel--sister property to Overleaf and very well managed. Rooms are a bit dated, but we always get at upstairs room (with high ceiling) and with a balcony right on the ocean. We have dinner (with salad bar) next door at the Adobe.
