Lodging in Irwin, PA

I need decent, affordable lodging in Irwin, PA for a week for our mission trip bus driver.
There's a Holiday Inn Express, but at $90+ a night, was more than I usually spend for the driver's room. Most of the motels I could find in the local yellow pages don't have websites,so I can't really research them. In the one website I found, a room rents for $25 for 3 hours and assures discretion.
I've never been to Irwin, PA. Hopefully someone out there knows more that I can find out. Thanks for the help.

Does it have to be IN Irwin..that's very close to Pittsburgh and all those motels on the way into the city from the turnpike.

BTW, how much DO you "usually pay" for the driver's room?????

Is there some reason the driver doesn't stay at he same place as everyone else? And $90 seems incredibly cheap for anyplace decent.

Hello Dukey & NY Traveler,
Mission trips are a different style of travel & there's no national question board, so I post here. In past years, people from the area have been really helpful as I plan.

On personal trips I am used to paying New York and Chicago prices for hotels. We got a great price on the Affinia near Macys in NYC for $179+ a night last year & regularly get 4* on Priceline in Chicago & Minneapolis for $100)

I usually don't have to pay that for hotels in smaller cities where we typically go on mission trips. Last year's Red Roof Inn in Lexington, KY was about $60 per night. The year before in Jackson, MS was the same. So I was looking for something close to where we stay for the bus driver. We have to fund raise for the trip & 6 nights at $90+ is alot for us.

Each mission trip participant, including adults, brings a blow up twin mattress and sleeps on church or school floors, 25 or so to a classroom. The bus driver is hired to drive and didn't sign up to work the trip so does not share our accomodations.

Maybe too much information, but thanks for asking.
Anyone know anything about Irwin or North Huntingdon PA?

You could try looking in Monroeville - it's close to Irwin and there's a strip of hotels. There are tons of restaurants around there too.

When I got married in Pittsburgh, we were lucky to find hotel rooms for everyone at $120, so $90 sounds right on target to me.
