Lodging in Galena

My wife and I are looking to travel to the Galena area in February to celebrate our anniversary. We have never been to the area before and are interested in some advice for lodging and meals. We are looking for lodging in the $150.00 range or less and nice dining establishments. Thanks in advance for any advice.

We have stayed at the John Henry Bed and Breakfast. It is our favorite, private, not cutesy, everything has been redone. It was a romantic, comfortable b&b. There is a french bistro right off Main St. There is a italian restuarant called Cannovas on Main st. Out of Galena is Fried Green Tomatoes resturant worth cheking out.

We always stay out at Eagle Ridge Resort, but it is higher than what you stated. One of the best places to eat is Bubba's Pub. It isn't really a pub though. It has a bar that reminds me of London, but the restaurant part is very nice. They have wonderful seafood with large portions, and prices around $10-20. We go there every time we are in Galena. Enjoy.

Hello we have stayed at the Best Western Quiet house Inn. They have whirlpool rooms and indoor/outdoor pool. Rates about$100-$200 a night. It was nice place. Good Luck.

We stayed at the Goldmoor B&B and were very happy! They recommended the best restaurant - can't recall the name - but it used to be a working "poorhouse" farm. The food was delicious & atmosphere very nice!

I just came back from a great week in the Eagle Ridge Territory. We stayed at a house rented from Almost Heaven Rentals.com
Try them! They were great.
