Lodging in Ft Lauderdale?

Hi, we're a 40's couple looking for a nice place on the beach, yet near Las Olas Blvd. for a weekend. Any recommendations for any price range (no college hangouts) would be appreciated. Thank you!

I have stayed at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort and would highly recommend it. It is one of the few hotels where you don't have to cross a street to get to the beach. It has great pools, very nice rooms, and very attractive lobby areas. It is a short drive from Las Olas Blvd.

Courtyard by Marriott is a block from Las Olas.

I've stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott also. It is a nice hotel with much more reasonable room rates than the Marriott Harbor Resort. It is less upscale with not as good of a pool as the Marriott Harbor Resort. But it is a fine place to stay with great value for the price. The Courtyard is a beach front property with a street between the hotel and the beach, whereas the Harbor Beach has nothing between the hotel and the beach.

Agree with MBM: W is the new go-to place in Ft. Lauderdale.
