We will be in Tuscon March 9-17. Suggestions for lodging greatly appreciated.
Thanks

What's your budget? Is there any area in particular you are interested in?

We've used priceline several times there. We bid on the resort category of hotels and have had great luck. We stayed at La Paloma, Loews and El Conquistador (this may have a different name now)at almost half the lowest price I could find elsewhere.

At full price, both are expensive, but as MFNYC mentions, you can find discounts. La Paloma and Marriott Star Pass are fine destinations.

What kind of lodging would you like?

LaPaloma is a sprawling, luxurious resort, with much to offer. It's also a popular place for conferences. I've definitely had a good time there but when its personal travel, i try to avoid such places so i'm not reminded of work.

Westward Look is not a mega resort but still has lots to offer. Recommended here by mikepintucson, our resident expert, we were happy with our stay in 2006. We weren't looking for the spa - pampering type of resort, altho they do have spa services.

We did enjoy the running path around the resort and the cactus and hummingbird gardens. If you're looking for mega luxury in a mega resort, this isn't for you. But its lovely for a moderately priced resort.
