Lodging ideas Needed for Healdsburg-Geyserville CA Area
We'll be attending a wedding at Chateau Souverain winery in June. I'm looking for a place to stay for one night between Healdsburg and Geyserville.

The places I've contacted (around Santa Rosa) so far have no vacancies due to a NASCAR event taking place the same weekend. Our son is a Sonoma state graduate, so I know the area around Santa Rosa pretty well, but I don't know much about what's available north of SR. We're not looking for luxury this time, since it's just a quick trip up from the south SF Bay area.

Lucky you. Healdsburg remains one of my favorite towns. We stayed at a B&B called the Camellia Inn which was lovely. We had a room facing the pool with a private entrance, very nice. Also within walking distance of town (e few blocks) with quaint streets, nice shopping and excellent restaurants.
http://www.camelliainn.com/

Another vote for the Camellia Inn. You might also try the Geyserville Inn. Bottom line and really just a place to stay for one night either the Best Western or the Travel Lodge in Healdsburg. They are what you would expect however you can stay one night I believe and the on ramp to Geyserville (and Chateau Souverain) is right there.

the Farmhouse Inn is another opportunity for a uniqus stay in the vineyards. They have a great place to eat there. It is small theough.

LUCKY! My husband and I were married right across the HWY at Trentadue Winery -awesome area. Our entire wedding party stayed at Geyserville Inn...they have a website-beautiful location.
Also, the Healdsburg Inn is wonderful, although much pricier. HAve a wonderful time!

Thanks, all. Having seldom ventured north of Santa Rosa, I'm looking forward to the event. Healdsburg BW Dry Creek requires two nights (which we may end up doing), Travelodge and Geyserville Inn are booked. Will keep checking.

Betsy, Since BW Dry Creek requires two nights I would suggest you check out Camellia Inn. They have a small room with its private bathroom across the hall for around the same as the BW/night to my memory. You'd be about three blocks from the square in downtown Healdsburg. It's a nice place. We're returning this June as we do nearly every year. I would also suggest you check out cancellations at Geyserville Inn. This is really the ideal place to stay for the wedding. The Travel Lodge and BW are right next to one another. Good luck..it will be beautiful in June!
