Holland Tunnel

Hi,

We need to drive tomorrow morning, Saturday, from Philadelphia to Lower Manhattan (Broad Street). Should we take Holland Tunnel? Are there shortcuts to the tunnel entrance on the New Jersey side?

Thanks,
Bonnie

I don't know of any shortcuts, but you shouldn't encounter that much traffic tomorrow morning.

There are some local approaches by getting off at the Jersey City exit just past the Liberty Science Center. But, on a Saturday morning not really worth the effort. Regardless, even during the week the local approaches are actually worse because of how long the lights go for those coming from either the Turnpike or 1/9.

If you have EZ-Pass that's your best way to save time by going through one of the express lanes.
