Lodging along oregon coast in July

My husband and I are flying into Portland end of July and spending several days there. Thinking about staying on coast for another 3 nights: Currently looking at Elizabeth Street Inn in Newport or Crown Pacific Inn in Depoe Bay, for the rest of our stay in Oregon. Any ideas about these hotels, warnings, or suggestions?

There are some good reviews of the Elizabeth Street Inn in the Newport Oregon TripAdvisor reviews...

Our favourite spot on the coast is Cannon Beach...and we have stayed at the Stephanie Inn many times..beautiful spot right on the ocean. Just an idea...
cheers,

Elizabeth Street is probably the nicest place in Newport, but I've never heard of Crown Pacific. And I've lived in Oregon most of my life.

If you're wanting to stay on the central coast, it's hard to be Overleaf Lodge in Yachats. It's been remodeled within the last couple years, and has I think the best setting of any other lodging on Oregon's coast. http://www.overleaflodge.com/

The Stephanie Inn is a great suggestion, they have a wonderful restaurant here as well. JP's in Cannon Beach is a nice place where we enjoyed dinner a couple of nights ago! ***kim*** ((*))

Keep in mind, , that the Stephanie Inn and Cannon Beach are about 100 miles away from Newport ..
