Lodging Advice in Swampscott area
Hi,
I'm attending a wedding in Swampscott, MA (near Salem) and was wondering if anyone had any advice about where to stay. I'm looking for someplace relatively inexpensive, but with character. Thanks!

You have just described Captain Jack's! Economical and waterfront with lots of character.

I have a couple of suggestions, you might look in Lynn which is just a town over or in Salem which is not far or Marblehead.
There are lots of B&Bs in that area, and a few hotel chains so you might try hotels.com to see what is in the area, and of course try the online yellow pages.
There is also an association and website for B&Bs.
Hope this helps, have a great time.

I just had a lovely weeklong stay at Darci's Parkside B&B in Marblehead. The rooms are lovely and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is great. The owners are friendly and helpful. Family friendly. Great rates. I would recommend it without hesitation!
