lantana, I'd agree that 5 Napkin Burger is much better than Shake Shack (but I don't do shakes, which might change my mind). But a double cheeseburger with fries at Shake Shack is $9.15 while a burger with fries at 5 Napkin is $13.95. And at Shake Shack it's self service, saving another $2.50 or so tip. I suspect that's the thing that makes the difference to most people -- approaching double the price. Still I'd prefer 5 Napkin, hands down!

Good point NeoPatrick I'd certainly return to both restaurants. I enjoyed both. I'm ordinarily not a "shake person" either but tried the one my daughter ordered at 5NB b/c it was choc/pnut butter, which is a combo I love, and it was really incredibly rich and delicious! She says her shake at Shake Shack was wonderful, too.
