Little Rock Hotels

We've got tickets to Michael Buble at Alltel Arena. I haven't been to Little Rock in 20 yrs and wanted a good hotel. We don't really want to have to find parking since I've heard that's hard to do. Any suggestions? We're 2 30'something women and don't want to worry about safety issues.

It's always hard to make a hotel suggestion without knowing your budget, but my sister stayed at the Peabody and loved it.

I'd like to keep it under $150! Sorry didn't mention that before.

I checked prices for Peabody using the dates May 12-14 and they have some standard doubles for $145. Of course that might not be the same for your dates, so check it out. You might also take a look at Orbitz or Expedia, as they sometimes offer lower rates than the hotel itself.

My sister lived in AR for several years and she seemd to think the Peabody was the "it" hotel in Little Rock. She even mentioned that Samantha Brown from the Travel Channel stayed there and did a story on the Peabody while filming one of her shows.

There is a new Courtyard in the River Market District. Also, in N. Little Rock near Alltel is the Whyndam. It was recently renovated. Another downtown hotel is the Doubletree but don't know how nice the rooms are going to be, etc.. The Peabody is nice. You can take the trolley over to Alltel. This will avoid having to find parking.
There is a Fairfield and Residence Inn in N. Little Rock. They are about a 5 minute drive to Alltel. They are close to shopping, restaurants, etc., and would be safe but you would have to find parking at Alltel. On I-30 next to downtown there is a Comfort Inn and a Holiday Inn. Both have been completely rehabbed in the last few years. Hope this helps.

Thanks japw! I'll check some of those out. I don't mind parking near by as long as there is some parking.

littlehouse, I would refer you to Southern Living Magazine's web site (by the same name as mag, plus dot com) and search their travel section. They do articles about southern cities all the time and you can almost certainly find some reviews with prices and area points of interest in their archive. I love Michael Buble, have fun!
