Little mom and pop hotel steps from the sand in Florida

I can't find the list I was keeping. I've seen some little favorites on the boards before.

Either coast.
Simple, "old-fashioned" hotel.
Clean rooms and linens.
Small pool.
Fridge or kitchenette for keeping drinks cool and for snacking.

Any favorites to share?

Whole bunch of these on Anna Maria Island - starting with Bungalow Beach. It's one of the most laid back, comfortable, beautiful beaches anywhere with pure white sand.

Wright by the Sea in Delray Beach (southeast coast in Palm Beach County) is on the beach with studio, 1 br, and 2 br apartments. Clean, quiet, family-owned from the fifties. Couldn't be nicer. See www.wbtsea.com

No, I'm not familiar with Haley's but I do know the location and it's on a great north side of Anna Maria. Haley's is NOT on the beach but a short walk to it. It looks wonderful and a number of the redone beach cottages and motels on Anna Maria are wonderful. I live near there on the next island south. But our island doesn't have the great older redone mom and pop motels and cottages. The north end has The Sandbar restaurant, Anna Maria Pier, many small cottage boutiques, nice little restaurants and then some nice little restaurant that is superb and expensive (Beach Bistro).

Anna Maria is a good sized island with three areas to it North, Middle (Holmes Beach) and south (Bradenton Beach and Coquina Beach). The north area is the most laid back.

The following places offer nightly stays on Siesta Key. None are right on the beach, but just few steps away:
