Litchfield County
Hi everyone,
I am planning to spend a week in Litchfield County, CT in July. Does anyone have any tips for good restaurants, shops, activities, etc. Any ideas on day spas as well?
Thanks!

Litchfield County is quiet and delightful, but not that much in the way of activity. I like hanging out at one of the many lakes/ponds, hiking (try Lion's Rock near Salisbury). Not much shopping, but antiquing in Sheffield, Mass. can be good. Also Tanglewood in Lenox, Mass. is about an hour away - and well worth the trip. The West Main Cafe in Lakeville has delicious food. Enjoy!

I was in Connecticut last weekend and went to a concert at Music Mountain, in Falls Village. There are Sunday afternoon chamber music concerts and Saturday night jazz concerts. Very relaxing and pleasant atmosphere, in an old concert hall designed to have the acoustics of a violin. The web site is

www.musicmountain.org

Thanks for the responses so far. Any other ideas?
