Litchfield Beach Vacation Help!
My boyfriend and I will be staying at the Litchfield Beach and Resort Hotel at the end of August. We are both in our late 20's and neither one of us has been to the area. Can anyone tell me a little bit about the area? I have seen on TripAdivsor where this resort has gotten mixed reviews. Anyone stayed there? Are there places to eat, bars, shopping, etc within walking distance of this resort? Any suggestions on what to do in the evenings or during the day in this area? Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks! |
The "mixed reviews" are certainly the Litchfield Inn, which is a motel/hotel type of property that may rent through that link. If you are staying within the Lithfield Beach and Golf Resort, you will have FIRST class accomodations. And we have even stayed at the Inn for a wedding weekend and enjoyed it.
Litchfield is a very upscale resort fo homeowners. It is not a "bar scene" so if that is what you want, it ain't there. However it isn't far. Tell me. We own there |
Actually now I see you are staying at the 'hotel"==Inn. You will actually love it--it's a "happening place". And the beach is really VERY nice.

Thanks for the info Gretchen. We are not looking for the "bar scene". How can I tell if I am staying at the inn or the hotel or are they the same thing? When I made the reservations, I was told it was the hotel not the inn. We are staying in a one bedroom suite that over looks the pool...We got a package deal where we have free breakfast in the mornings and two free dinners at the restaurant on site.

Does anyone else have any advice about the Litchfield Beach area or resort?

anyone?

What specifically do you want to know. The Resort is a large development of houses, duplexes, high rises, the suite hotel. There are tennis courts, many many fine golf courses in the area. There are pools for each area or tower.
I would be sure you are at the hotel--there is a restaurant on premise. There is EXCELLENT dining in the area--in Pawley's Island just south and in Murrell's Inlet just north. Huntington Beach State Park is an interesting tour as is Brookgreen Gardens, both abut a mile away. |
