Lincoln HWY

Anyone watched the PBS show on The Lincoln Highway? It has a terminus marker in SF, but none in NYC. I have never taken it, but it has its fans; it sure is full of weirdos, old run down motels, greasy diners, ghost towns, etc.

Not as famous as Route66, but it does run from/to both coasts.

I did not see the show, but parts of it run along I-80 thru the Sierra Nevada and Sacramento. I will check our listings.

Part of it runs 100 yards from my front door.

Me, too, janisj!

It's just a regular non-weird road around here. And, yes, I saw and enjoyed that show. Also saw the Pacific terminus near the bus stop at the Leagun of Honor.

I drive on it almost everyday in El Dorado Hills and Folsom. I take it to get to my local Target.

I love the Lincoln Highway. It was a great idea even if it never was fully realized. I didn't see the show, but I imagine they tried to find the most off beat parts, not all of it is weird, much is just rural america.
