gyppielou,
What ever you do, before your trip, do not visit the pizza place in East Boston that was recommended to us by a fellow Fodorite.
They serve the best lamb tips and Garlic pizza.
Don't visit there!

Finale......nothing grande, just a couple of last moments in paradise......
Day 14 was about early morning pool at Kea Lani, snorkling to the right reefs and walking to 4S and GW to check out shops. Again, walking thru GW pool area is freakin intense, but the lobby and interior, while everyone is at the pool is still a sight to behold. When things got busy at the pool I hung at our wonderful room 172 overlooking secluded fountains. Late in the day we headed to shops at wailea and bought a wonderful glass piece at Ki'i...forget the artists name, but just a great piece...nice gallery. www.kiigallery.com. To celebrate our find we headed to Makena for a pre sunset dip in a truly remarkable beach.
After freshening up we stopped at 4S to see the Hula entertainment which was really truly wonderful. An app at Spago to reaquaint with our bartender, and a Nick's finish at the bar for a wonderful shared meal. Not a bad day!
Day 15...Our last day in paradise until who knows when. Up early, we headed to Makena for a dip, and then headed to LaParouse Bay for some killer snorkling. Back at the Kea Lani, we headed to the adult pool for a couple of hours and then freshened up and checked out. Drove thru Lahaina and continued on to one of our favorite drives, the West Maui road. Still as breathtaking as ever, although it is the first time we didn't adventure our way thru...just a nice afternoon drive. Finished our trip in Paia at their fish market for an ok fish quessadilla, with very good fish.....not the best choice on my part...shoulda gone for fish &chips or something...and a very ono local grown cheeseburger with fantastic fries and onion rings and a couple of Longboards. Last minute browsing and we were off to the airport.
That's it.....nothing more. Back to work to pay for the next adventure. Thank you for listening and good night!

gyppie,
So sorry that your ahi addiction is still in full swing. Nothing compares to the stuff just off the boat, eh?
How's that camera of yours? Did you and Mr. Lou ever figure out how to use it? I'm anxiously awaiting your photographs so I can be reminded how awful that hell-hole really is. Thanks for the help.

G'lou,
I'll try and find a website I've used where I bought fresh Ahi from HI.
O'nite shipping to my grill in 48 hrs.
VERY onoliscious!!!!
We got the BIG filet and split it with Mrs Kal's Sis.
Her Sis really hates Kauai, too.

I'd be guessing you'all are talkin about Honolulu Fish Co. We are planning a Very Aloha Hawaiin Christmas of the 7 Fishes this year, and they will be supplying us with the best of the best. But dang.....I need to get some time to learn computers and cameras and catch our breath again. Life has surely been busy since our return to the mainland. We just returned from a fabulous wedding in P'town, which is Provincetown, MA to those who are in a tizzy over it. Intimate, on the beach, maine lobster clam bake and a big ole beach house....GOOD TIMES
