Lido Beach Resort

Hello! Have any of you had any experience with the Lido Beach Resort in Sarasota? We are torn between the Lido Beach and the Hilton on Longboat Key. It's for the first week in August, and we enjoy a low-key, laid-back atmosphere. Thanks in advance!

I've stayed at both and I think the Lido is more upscale. I do love Longboat Key though, it is probably more geared to families. Lido is very close to St Armands if you are into shopping, the traffic can get a bit congested.

I think LBK is less "formal" if that makes any difference.

Either one, you will have fun. Be prepared for some hot, humid temps!

That's fairly right although sinxce I live on LBK I'd more apt to recommend it and the Hilton. The Hilton is VERY nice. We've had lunch and brunch there often and friends have stayed there and been pleased.

I've passed the Lido Beach Resort and it also looks great so it's your choice.

Thanks to all three of you for your replies. We have a tie between Lido Beach and the Hilton on LBK, and the tie-breaker is for Siesta Key! I appreciate your input!
