Let's give a shout out to Orville and Wilbur Wright
 

On this day 100 years ago, two bicycle makers from Dayton, Ohio were on the Outer Banks on NC flying a plane for the first time.

Orville was the pilot, and Wilbur took the photo to prove the event happened.

Happy 100 aviation.

Cheers to the Wright brothers!! Where would the world of travel be today, if not for the efforts of those two aviation pioneers? Happy anniversary to that historic flight!

I heard on NPR this morning that as simple as that biplane was, much of modern aircraft follows the same principals of construction. I thought that was fascinating in light of the fact that our modern day planes are mechanical marvels.
