Let's Start Using "Airlines" & "Other Topics" under "Change Forums" heading to Purge this Board.
 

Lately I have noticed a lot of posts relating to airlines (first class area washrooms on planes, unruly children on planes, & others that do not deserve to be mentioned!!). I have also noted topics like "What Should I Pack?" "How much Vacation Time Do you Take?" & other such general questions. Around the same time I happened to scroll through the "Change Forums" heading here. Two of the headings in particular caught my eye: "Airlines" and "Other Topics". In an attempt to better organize this board I wonder if some of us might want to consider posting under "Airlines" and "Other Topics" instead of the US Forum. And, b/f everyone jumps all over me...."No" I do not think that I am the "self-appointed" board organizer!!!...it's just a suggestion! OK?

Part of the problem is that those forums don't really get much traffic. On the "other forum" the first 3 topics have had a response today but the 4th and below were from yesterday and older. On the other hand the US forum has 150 or so topics with posts with the current date. Trolls go where they know they'll get some action.

Do you just want to pass off problems here to other forums? Too many people try and squelch free speech by using the "troll" buzz word.

Agree ChocoDude. I find the Troll Police and their self-appointed Troll Alerts to be annoying, while the trolls themselves are usuall pretty funny.

Good point, Vanilla, since we all know the main purpose of these forums is to be funny, not to be helpful. God forbid anyone should do anything to make them more helpful than they are.

Who the heck cares? I suspect they post here because this board gets more traffic. This board does not need organizing. Perhaps folding more towels at home will help you get over the need to control everything.

Agree. Remeber folks this is just a message board. Have a little fun. Loosen up and treat everyone with a little respect.

Actually I think what the board needs is a registration process so that trolls can be banned from the board.<BR><BR>Seems that there are lots of kids on the board all of a sudden, instead of going to boards designed for kids they come here to annoy people here.<BR><BR>I sure wish Fodors would put a registration process here, so the trolls would go away.<BR><BR>Also in case you have not heard, there are cyber harrassers from this board sending out viruses and using email names from this board to send out viruses. We have been able to get whoever is doing this kicked off a couple of internet servers, like verizon and attbroadband. We just sent a note to Earthlink siting the same person is stalking us over the internet.<BR><BR>Beware of using your email address.

It's a shame we can't all be adult around here.
