Les Miserables Logo

Hello there,

My apologies in advance, as this is not actually a travel question...

My co-worker and I are having a disagreement on who is depicted on the Les Miserables logo...I say it's the little boy at the end of the show who is killed in the battle...my co worker says it's Cosette...who's right?

I've always assumed it's Cosette.

Definitely Cosette. All of the play's subplots lead to or revolve around her character.

Another vote for Cosette.

I assumed it was Cosette.

My vote is also for Cosette.

My BIL was one of the original designers. Yes, it is Cosette!

ugh! I'm losing a bet...it looks so much like the tattered and battered little boy at the end who's holding the flag....

Okay, off to lick my wounds and pay up....

The other possibility is that it's a picture of Patti Lupone, the original Fantine in London. That forlorn look on her face was when she wasn't cast in the Broadway production.

Oh, I loved Patti Lupone in Evita!

Patrick ... re Patti LuPone ... she must have gotten used to making that face, as it was the same look she had when she was booted out of "Sunset Boulevard."

As far as the logo of Les Miz goes, I remember they did use Gavroche (the boy) early on in some things (or am I misremembering) but the classic logo is, as everyone else has said, Cosette.
