Leland Michigan

Will be in Leland for 5 days in june. Looking for some good golf and fishing. Any thing else a must in that area? We are pretty game for anything...will have our 4 and 2 year old.

You could take the kids up to either the Grand Traverse Lighthouse, the Mission Point Lighthouse on Old Mission Peninsula or the Port Betsie Lighthouse. Sleeping Bear Dunes is also a good bet. There are quite a few public beaches in and around Leland. Traverse City is fun and they have a small zoo and the Great Lakes Children's Museum. Have a fish dinner at the Bluebird in Leland.

Take along your bicycles. There are some nice roads for riding.

If you didn't have two little ones with you, then winery hopping would be fun. Both the Leelaunau penisula and Mission penisula have an assortment of wineries.

With kids, Glen Lake is a good bet with the dune climb across the road. Glen Arbor is a fun little town.

Grandma and Granpa will be there...FREE BABYSITTING SERVICE!!! Which winery would be best? Live music anywhere? How about fishing tours? Golf courses?

Pick a direction and go!
Some of my favorites are:
Bel Lago - at the south end of Lake Leelanau.
Any winery on the Mission Penisula.
Blackstar Farms - they also make cheese and have an Inn.
