Just a note that we had to reserve DC several months in advance to get in on Christmas Eve last year. It was fantastic.

I can't say enough about the Candlelight Processional at Epcot. Gary Sinise (CSI; Captain Dan in Forrest Gump) was the guest narrator last year at Christmas. The narrator reads the story of the birth of Christ from the Bible, and it is interspaced w/songs from a phenomenal huge choir. It was a moving experience. We somehow got in the front row (we booked the dinner package).

does anyone know who the guest narator is this year? Is there an extra cost for this event?

There is no charge. You just have to get in line very early, like an hour ahead at least, to get a seat. But you can get a priority dinner package at several of the restaurants and that gets you reserved seating right up in front. Look here for info:

If you did not know about this, or about the Osborne lights, it tells me that you are not familiar with the specail events offered at WDW at Christmas time. I strongly urge you to do some quick homework on the WDW websites for each park to see what else is offered. There are really great things offered only at Christmas time, but you need to know about them to take advantage of them. Of all the things offered, I liked the Osborne lights and the Candlelight Processional the best (and ICE too).
