Leaving on the 24th but no visa yet

Hello,

On may 30th i had an appointment at the consulat of France Chicago for a short stay visa in Paris for 2 weeks.

Appointment went well, lady told me it should take 2 weeks to get my response. It s been 3 weeks today and i took a 2 weeks vaccation off from work just for this. My vaccation starts on monday, but still don t know if i am going or not. I have called left my number and name, no response. I emailed them as well. I would like to know if it s refused at least so i could cancel the vacation i took.

Anybody had this type of issue before?

Please help!!

Thanks

Ps: I had all my documents with me at the appointment, i had everything they asked me to bring.

What country is your citizenship?

As a US citizen, I stayed 30 days in Paris without a visa.

If the OP were a US citizen she would hardly be waiting for a visa, would she? And if she were, she would get 90 days visa-free.

Josephine - sorry about this, but I am not sure what help you expect. If the consulate has everything they asked for, all you can do is keep trying to call them.
