Well, I just got a nice letter from the manager of Riverplace. He was very apologetic for my bad experience, and offerred a credit. I certainly didn't ask for or expect that, but I am impressed that he really seemed to care. Maybe the hotel is a work in progress?

By the way, a couple of you asked about clothing shops. I have a few shops I enjoy there, but I don't know their names!! One is on 34th? and Hawthorne. Another is down near Nordstroms. I also like the shop attached to The Real Mother Goose downtown.

Sorry..I'm not really a clothing person, so I find the obvious shops and will often buy 3 different color of the same item if I like it!

Now art and housewares...those I will wander all over looking for the right thing!

That's nice to hear, Lucy! Our friends returned from the Riverplace and also adored the property.

They weren't offered a room upgrade upon check-in, but very much enjoyed their riverview room and the entire property. The athletic club was a big hit and they loved walking along the riverfront in the evening.

They only had breakfast at the Three Degrees, but really enjoyed it and ate out on the patio. We might be staying here in Novermber, I can't wait to see how it is! ***kim***
