LAX to Anaheim at 2am? Is it ok?

Hey guys, I am arriving in LAX at approx. 12AM

So we´ll probably leave LAX at around 2AM because of customs time, baggage claim and rental car pickup.

We´ll stay in Anaheim and I would like to know if it´s easy to get there at this hour in the night and if it´s dangerous?

can anybody share some tips?

thanks

It's all freeway, so it's really no more dangerous than any other time of day (assuming you're awake!).

Perfectly safe and a good time to be driving as the traffic is light. However you may be surprised how many people are still out and about.

Sure, it's fine. It's just a California freeway in the middle of the night is allF! As long as you have your directions figure out in advance, should be a piece of cake at that time (less traffic than usual).

The drive would be a dream compared to other times of day.

My only question is -- Are you flying in long haul? (You mention customs - which could just mean you are coming in from Mexico, but could also be from overseas))

If yes, you are likely to be really REALLY tired/jetlagged. You might want to consider just getting a hotel at LAX and picking up the car after a good night's sleep and breakfast. If you get to the rental agency by 0900 or 0930, you'd be on the road by maybe 1000 and miss the worst of the commute.

(Ignore all of the above if you aren't on a long flight )

Just be careful of speeding drunk drivers. 2AM is when the bars close.

Ok, so safetywise it´s all right

and janisj : I am coming from Brazil, but since 2am is actually 7am here in Rio, it´ll be like waking up

yeah, I know I´ll be all messed up, but since I´m going to Anaheim and I think it´ll be a 25min drive, I guess it´s ok
