LAX-Pasadena
 

Looking for some info from those who may know! Some friends have to get from LAX to Pasadena on Sat at about 11am. Roughly how long will it take them by vehicle?

Lots will depend on whether there are events going on at the Coliseum (USC), Staples Center (Lakers) or Rose Bowl (UCLA). Figure on one hour to 90 minutes.

I would say it would be about 45 min to an hour in most circumstances but as the previous poster said, it could take up to 90 min. if there are big events at Rose Bowl, Coliseum or Staples but I think if only one event at on of these places it won't be that bad.

My friend and I visit each other all the time for lunch- LAX area to Pasadena, and drive time is 45 minutes. Plan on an hour if you have lots of surface streets once in Pasadena.

Whenever I visit my relatives in Pasadena and drive from LAX it takes about 45 minutes off peak/ but she always has me take the 105 instead of the 405 and I can't tell you what this means, except that these are my 'driving orders' - I just follow the directions. Maybe someone here will know why she prefers this route. I do know if as mentioned, an event will add considerable time.
