OK, it's a done deal.
I have a reservation at Sheraton Gateway -- internet and self parking included at a total of $102. (non refundable, just like Priceline would be)

That's less than a possible Priceline 4* would be if I "won" the other two options -- Rennaissance or Westin --at $70 (after adding Priceline fee, parking, and internet)-- but pretty much the same if I "won" the Sheraton at that price.

I screwed that up - it is El Segundo - back side of the airport

No Escondido - really nice, pleasant hotel that fed us well, gave us internet service and an extremely comfortable bed.

hahahahah LN - I was really really wondering how many drinks they gave you to get you all the way to Escondido and keep you happy :-D

Patrick That is where dh stayed for a conference and he was fine with it. And besides..it is just a stop over on your way to magical Hawaii!!!!!

We have had several guests stay at the Sheraton Gateway before they are flying out of LAX and all have been pleased with the hotel. I have stayed at the LAX Marriott several times when we are flying out early the next a.m. and it was good too. We have always just taken the hotel shuttle so I don't know how long the wait is for a valet. Keep us posted if you will be in LA on your return. Would love a GTG.
