LAX Airport
We plan on visiting California for a 10 day vacation in mid May. Do you have to have a pre test for flying domestic into LAX or any International Airport in California?
I heard you may have to pre test for certain airports even if you fly domestic. We are fully vaccinated. This will be our first time flying since Covid. Thanks in advance. |
No.

Currently no, but you really need to check the rules when you get close to your trip. The state is transitioning to an endemic strategy, and rules are changing, but what the state of California requires is not always what the County of Los Angeles requires. And whatever status you put on the virus, it's not going away, and there may be targeted responses to breakthrough cases for a long time.

Don't mix up what is required for local events/venues and the rules for flying/airports. Covid-19 testing isn't required for domestic flights in the continental US |
Let's hope that Raven4 comes back for answers. You MAY have to take a covid test to leave the US for a for a foreign country.
I do have a Facebook friend (distant cousin) who lives in Ecuador that flew back to the US (New Hampshire) in November. When he was ready to fly back to Quito in January, he had to break the trip in Miami. He took the test in the Miami airport and discovered that he had a mild case. He had to quarantine for 10 days in Florida before he could get a negative test. He is glad to be back to his home near Cosanga, Ecuador. |
Thanks all !
