LasVegas fine dining..no steakhouses
 

We are looking for recommendations for fine dining in Las Vegas for our anniversary.
Top chefs, etc..

My DW and I had our Christmas dinner there last year.
Even if a famous chef is sitting in the kitchen, you don't know if he/she touched your plate or cooked any of your food.

I was looking at Mario battali and Emeril Lagasse's places even thoughnthey aren't there. Thanks for your suggestion.

For really special--I'd choose Joel Robuchon at the MGM or Guy Savoy at Caesar's Palace. Or maybe a couple of the places in the Wynn??

Agree with janisj, if you enjoy French food then Robuchon's main restaurant (he also has a slightly simpler L'Atelier next door) is special, and we enjoyed our meal at Guy Savoy too. Bring lots of money though. These guys were both Michelin 3* chefs in France (Robuchon also has 3 Michelin stars for his Vegas restaurant, Guy has two) and during the 1990's Robuchon was generally considered the best chef in the world.

Would also check out Twist if you like experimental food (another famous French chef, Pierre Gagnaire). I think they recently became the 2nd Vegas restaurant to receive Michelin 3* status. And Bouchon is our favorite place for breakfast.

Check out Michael's at the South Point, a little farther down Las Vegas Blvd, incredible food and service. We have celebrated our last 2 anniversaries there.

Whoa, let me correct my own post ... Twist recently became the 2nd Vegas restaurant to get five stars from the Forbes Travel Guide, which makes them one of about 25 restaurants in the US with this top ranking. Michelin hasn't reviewed the Vegas restaurants since I think 2009 due to lack of sales for the Michelin guidebook.

Its been a few years, but one of our most memorable meals was the prix fixe dinner with wines at Emerils.

Las Vegas is truly a foodie heaven these days. My most recent great meals have been at the new Cosmopolitan. I don't think it has a badly reviewed restaurant. I loved Comme Ca and Milos, and hope to go to Scarpetta soon.
