Last week of work before vacation...aaaah!

Three more days of work and I'm off to Vegas...the past day and a half have gone by at a snail's pace! I guess it's good, because I have so much to do before we leave...including packing those 7 pairs of shoes ;)

I guess I'll just try to focus on getting lots of work done this week to keep myself busy instead of obsessively looking up Vegas info....that def doesn't make the day go faster!

Your week in Vegas will fly by! Enjoy!

shortcake05479~ I hope your flight arrives early! My dh and I arrived this time of year three years ago at 7 a.m. and were ready to jump in a pool!
It's nice to have a carry on with swimsuit, sunscreen and sandals so you can check your luggage and be comfortable, or put on good walking shoes and stroll inside the air conditioned shopping areas.((Y))
Where are you staying on this trip? Dining plans? If anything exciting happens that you'll admit to, post about it when you return, J.

Thanks :) Staying at Venetian this time. Bf's first trip to Vegas...so it will be fun to see how he likes it all. Will def post a trip report when I get home!

shortcake~ four of my friends and I had a great dinner at Canelletto.. we were all dressed up like old beauty queens in our gowns. We stood on the stairs aside the restaurant and I keep that glamour shot on my refrigerator for a laugh. I love the changing ceiling.. very fun atmosphere.. J.

A week in Vegas? I didn't get that from the original post...unless 7 pairs of shoes equals 7 days. Which based on my spouse is far from the reality.

At any rate, show the boy a great time in sin city!

Do lots of stuff that you can't tell us about....;-)

jetset...

Why would you dress up like old broa...err, I mean old queens on purpose?

OR

Do you mean that you are a mature group of ladies that were dressed to the 9's? I am just trying to get a mental visual...

shortcake05479 Aug 1st, 2006 01:13 PM

Haha. No I am only staying 4 nights....I just pack a lot of shoes! (See post "7 pairs of shoes") ;)

placeu2~ okay, I'll set you straight since I would be alarmed for anyone to to think of me as an old queen.:-[
(In a moll voice, circa Chicago 1923)..

It was our last night there see, we had already had three days of fun, see, we had the hair and makeup done to perfection, see, we had seen the tacky and much- too- close- to- our sons- age- Chippendales, see, we had decided that the last night we were gonna be Wives Gone Wild see, so we put on our finest evening wear((K))
((I)) oh,what did I wear you wonder??...
Long black mermaid skirt(sale at Nordstrom, wasn't I fortunate), sparkly sleeveless halter top with sheer black blouse, and Steve Madden shoes which added about six inches to my 5'3 chassis.
Got any more questions? Ah yes, I also had one of my fave fragrances on, Fauburg 24!
I have a photo of us on my fridge. It helps me stay centered when I am feeling dull. If you had a reason, I'd scan it and send it for your approval,=D>. Carry on, J.

>)Kal, you seem to pop up at the oddest times. Now if my dh were sitting here, he's say yes, reminds me of our honeymoon.:-d

Kal Aug 1st, 2006 03:01 PM

I used to pop up at the evenest of times.
