Last trip to LA

Our last trip to Los Angeles will be next week (March 12-20). It will be my hubby and myself--mid-60's. Are the Tar Pits worth seeing? We do have tickets to see the Reagan Library. Has anyone seen the Battleship USS Iowa and/or the Museum of the Holocaust?

The date of Nancy Reagan's funeral has not yet been announced. She will lie in state inside the library until she is buried next to our 40th President.

We enjoyed the Los Angeles Conservancy walking tour of the Broadway Historic District. It is offered every Saturday at 10:00 a.m. https://www.laconservancy.org/tours

The good thing about the tar pits is the proximity to other attractions.
The County Museum of Art is there as well as The Page Museum.
The Farmer's Market, CBS Studio and Langer's deli (best pastrami sandwich in the world) are just down the street.

and Langer's deli (best pastrami sandwich in the world)

Those are fightin' words LOL! (I'll have to try it next time I'm in LA)

Here are a few of the places you mentioned (and a few you haven't) that I have written about (with photos) on my website.

After we went to LACMA (which was excellent and well worth the price of admission), we walked over to the tar
pits. You can see quite a bit just walking the perimeter for free. That satisfied us so we didn't pay to go inside.

And another shout out for the LA Conservancy tours. We did one of the Art Deco buildings downtown and it was very good. They have a variety of tours to choose from and all are reasonably priced.

You might enjoy the Petersen Automotive Museum which is very close to LACMA and just reopened last December after a major year long remodel.

The funeral and burial will be on Friday 3/11 at the Reagan Library.
